Found the perfect handi safe
« on: January 20, 2013, 10:20:27 AM »
Ran outa room in my cheap stack on gun cabinet.  Came across this 2 door safe for cheaper than a new 8 gun stack on.  Not so pretty but with a coat of paint and some gun racks I think it'll work.  Perfect height for  handi and shorties, measured out that each side could hold at least 14 guns.  Prob keep 1 side with shelves for ammo and barrels.  Im thinking a nice rattlecan camo paint job?

Donno about the paint idea  ::)   but with a bit of "furniture" it looks like a great Handi and pistol safe.

What are the dimensions of that safe?  I like that idea cause they wouldn't think there were guns there. . .

It looks alot heavier built than a stack on would have been.  Looks like solid steel doors.

I wanted something bigger but I settled for one of these on sale from Costco.

I was tired of going out and worrying about the guns that wouldn't fit inside my safe.
