« on: January 20, 2013, 11:18:21 AM »
I heard a rumor Remington will (or has) introduced a 4" R1.  Anyone know about that?

I just got an email from GunsAmerica with a photo and information on the new R1 Carry.  MSRP is $1299.  Night sight up front.  Looks really nice.

The Remington R1 website says the R1 Carry has a 5 inch barrel . Ruger has come out with a commander size SR.

I wouldn't want the Ruger.

I wonder why Ruger has 'come out' with a commander size when they cannot fill the orders they have for 5" 1911s?

At that price I'll pick up a used Commander or a  Kimber.
