Goex Cartridge Discontinued
« on: January 21, 2013, 06:10:44 AM »
 ???
Well, so much for Goex Cartridge.
Discontinued a few weeks ago.
Anyone found a replacement they like - maybe even better?
Might just stick with FF or F I guess.

Stuart, Goex CTG has been discontinued for a couple of years now.  Hodgdon also discontinued Cowboy and Express.
Might suggest you buy some KIK 1.5 and FFg as a replacement.  Powder Inc is your source ...

Almost 3 years ago now..
KIK 1.5 is a direct replacement for Cartridge, only a bit better velocity and much cleaner.
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

Thanks.

I honestly didn't know that until last week ( :-[  Doh!!!) when Jim at the store I go to said 'I got two left and that's it.'   Mike at Hogdon said Cartridge stopped shipping July of 2012.  But i'm new to this bpcr.

They have a new 'Old Einsten' (sp) powder coming out, but I will look around for the KIK 1.5. I got plenty of FF.

Stuart, as the old saying goes ... "Don't bet on a horse you have not ridden on"
That said, re: Olde Eynsford Powder

The horse that has been ridden is the 2010 lot of KIK ... by myself and many other serious BPCR shooters.  In fact, we have been discussing that the quality is equal to Swiss and cost is substantially less than Swiss

::) I wouldn't hold my breath on that Old E stuff, they've been promising it for 2 years, have yet to make the first batch, it has not been tested, and apparently they have no plans to put some out to test priot to dumping it on the market... Should proove interesting.
I have a standing order for 5 lbs of it if/when it ever comes out, but it's really going to have to be some good stuff, and there's going to have to be some rock solid guarantee of it's availability, because I'm not going to do the shuck and jive routine a couple of months out from the start of shooting season and find out my match powder is no longer available..... >:(
