Its because he's trying to be fiscally responsible, it makes him look FANTASTIC to most of us on here, who are also fiscally responsible and traditionally minded. Your post seems panicked:) I think great conservatives like RP scare the heck outta you libs. :D

Yep financially responsible for helping aid in the deaths in Benghazi . Just the man I want to throw my support behind.

Wrong.  he is against paying private muzzie security firms who don't carry guns, and keeping ambassadors in places where their favorite sport is killing Christians and Jews
We should have ambassadors only in friendly countries.  If a muzzie wants to speak to someone from our state dept. let them call for an appointment and meet at the UN building.  that way the UN building would serve a purpose.
we could quit handing cash to our enemies.

Rand Paul did not look good questioning Clinton. He acted like a typical bloviated politician on the panel.

Thefacts are thus -

This is the same Rand Paul who wanted to slash the state department budget by 74%.
This congress is the same congress that would not allocate (and yes cut ) the state departments budget.
This is the same congress that even today wont release funds already approved to the state department
and allow them to be transferred and reallocated for beefing up security overseas.

If your looking for culprits responsible in aiding and abetting in the Benghazi tragedy congress including Rand Paul and those others on the panel should have looked in the mirror.

Semper Fi

Good post! It's also likely the reason that, when RP got on his soapbox and got up in her face, she pretty well just blew him off, rather than get defensive, or even argue with him. He will be remembered historically as the T candidate who did NOT even comment when his supporters, on national TV, stomped a woman's head for protesting against him. (By the way, RP has never LOOKED good, in any light!)

How about Just fund the friggen state department as it should be funded so proper security could be provided with a fully funded budget.  These are the same idiots that are all up in arms about cutting defense yet treat the state departments budget as the bastard step child. Then have the Audacity to raise their arms and then with holier than thou ire try to sit in judgement to shift blame anywhere but where it truly lies.

Congress was negligent and complicit through their own political actions.
They need look no further than themselves for what happened.  - Nuff said.

Scoot;
   WRONG; there is plenty of money to pay a few real guards for our embassies.  That cost to protect the Benghazi consulate would  have been "small change" in relation to the useless inauguration ceremonies the nation recently witnessed:

  http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/inauguration-cost-millions-total-price-tag-unclear/story?id=18252790

    Obama's last inauguration cost at minimum was $170,000,000, obviously the cost of this latest bit of frivolity was well beyond that! Here for instance, is the last paragraph in the article;

  " One exorbitant cost has already drawn attention in the District; the mayor's viewing stand, from which D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray will watch the Inaugural Parade, cost $342,000 to build. The banner above it reads, "A More Perfect Union Must Include Full Democracy in DC."

The Tea Party can supplant the Republican Party...Rand ran as much or more Tea Party than Republican last  election..
   ....And he beat a Democ-rat..
It would suit me.  Or the constitution party.  Rand did endorse Romney because he saw the danger from Obama.   Do you reckon Rand might run as a TPer?
We've got to do something to save this country starting in 2014.

   Paul might well be the first viable 3rd party canidate for the coming election. I feel about done with the republican party .. their choices for potus have been pitiful over the last 12 years and have taken us down a road paralleling the libs, time for real change or time to fall apart. That's IF we can survive the next 4 years. Was favorable blogs on RP all over the internet..

OK Gang;

  A simple question...  Who is right?   Rand Paul, louie Gohmert and many others say the administration is wrong for furnishing the muslim brotherhood with F16s and Abrams tanks...some of the very finest weapons in the world..
       Kerry says that  furnishing the Al Queda connected gang with these weapons is entirely good and proper;

Benghazi is some 200 miles from the US Embassy. The facility was a CIA "safe house." The Republican run Congress is guilty of withholding funding for security for the area, so the GOP set this fiasco up, hoping to cause this controversy, and now they're freaking out because nobody sane is blaming the administration. The blame goes to the GOP, plain and simple.

  I think its obvious what the admins purpose is when arming the factions who have changed the face of the middleeast almost overnight. Anyone with Americas best interest in mind would know better and of course in the future, egypt will turn on Israel. Maybe on us. Nothing would make O and his minions happier.

 I hope RP starts getting his election machine in place NOW, over the next 3 or 4 years its going to get easier and easier to show common low info voters why they DON'T want to vote dem.  J

Well imam hussein doesn't have enough money in his personal stash to "gift" four F-16s.  that's my money.
plus, no matter what Israelis are called, they WILL NOT attack Egypt.  so Egypt has no use for any more fighter planes or tanks.  they are surrounded by allies.
The only reason for hussein sending planes and tanks, is in case the Egyptian muslim brotherhood decides to attack Israel.
hussein is arming them to possibly create a bloodbath....Israeli blood....
he is dis-arming americans to possibly create a bloodbath......Citizens blood....

oh, the question, Rand Paul is right.

Well at least there has been a small change in the liberal talking points; they're now blaming the Republican run House for all of the administrations failures instead of Bush.  But trying to sell the notion that not enough money is being spent is beyond lame.

    Sure..Sure, the only people in Washington even pretending to attempt at saving any money..  You don't suppose the boy wonder could find a few bucks for consulate security in that $ 1,000,000,000  he threw away on Solyndra, Fiskars, crummy batteries and a few Chinese energy companies, do you?

Nope not true  (but let's not let the facts get in the way of a good urban myth )- BTW the CBS article you linked too was March 19, 2012, 6:55 PM  so I posted the February 2, 2012                 Fct check article debating the issue at the time. The drive by CBS report only reported the slanted story trying to support one side.

Remind me to go eat a really expensive dinner rack up a huge bill then stick the next cutomer who comes in to eat at the table with the enormous check as I grab my hat and coat and head for the exit.

 http://www.factcheck.org/2012/02/dueling-debt-deceptions/

It's untrue the debt has increased more under Obama than under all previous 43 presidents combined.
In fact, as of Jan. 31, 2012, the rise under Obama had yet to surpass the rise under his predecessor, George W. Bush.
The economic stimulus and other Obama policies account for just under $1 trillion of the debt added since he took office, while Bush added $5.1 trillion in his eight years — mostly due to tax cuts and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

On the other hand, former Washington Post reporter Eric Pianin and others fault Obama for not getting more strongly behind the recommendations of his own deficit-reduction commission more than a year ago.

Obama agreed to extend Bush’s tax cuts for two years, even as his commission called for tax reform

Two important things to remember;
   As long suspected, we now know those various 'fact check" websites are just leftie front organizations , set up to whitewash leftie mistakes and provide "spin" and "cover" for the libbies:
     http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2923825/posts

  Now, for their chart which I don't take too seriously, since if a liberal  says "it's raining"...you better go outdoors and have a look for yourself!
   Even if the chart they provided were honest (what's a liberal know about that?)..it still shows an interesting stat..

You really should look closer, because...  Obama has compiled in 4 years , the same amount of debt that Bush took 8 years to equal.!!!
