Michelle Obama has no clue about what it takes to EARN $10,000. For many of us mortals, it can take 3 months or more to earn that much before taxes. Even longer when you consider how long it takes to save that much money post tax.

First Lady Michelle Obama impressed fashion experts and amateurs alike with her inaugural outfit Monday morning created by New York-based designer Thom Browne, mostly known for his menswear collections.
The First Lady wore a navy silk jacquard coat and dress outfit in a checked pattern specially designed for her.
“I wanted ‘tailored’ for her. For me, she stands for strength and confidence, and that’s what I wanted to design for her,” Browne told the Associated Press about his creation for the First Lady’s inaugural dress.
According to the designer, the outfit was inspired by a men’s silk tie. It is unclear what the cost of the outfit was, but

it could likely be at least $10,000, according to Enstars’ estimates. However, the actual price has not been confirmed and there is no word yet on whether the dress and coat outfit will be rolled out for customers.

 The best advice I have is to sit down, shut up, and when appropriate say, yes ma'am that is a wonderful dress.


I honestly believe it is nobody's business how much her dress cost. The implication here is that she could not afford to buy the dress, bull ship. She can afford to buy just about anything she desires, I would imagine her credit worthiness is exemplary.  Her future employment possibilities are limited only by her imagination. Do not fool yourself this woman has power. I'm going to guess she could sell a poorly thought out sentence to Hallmark for $10k.

We don't know who paid for it, or, if it was a donation. Maybe the dress designer just wanted to get more publicity for his works. I just wonder if Michelle will do the right thing, like Nancy Reagan,Laura Bush, Jackie Kennedy, and most other Whitehouse wives, and donate it for a charity when she's done? There is no telling what kind of political favor was extended to the previous owner of that dress.
Remember we are dealing with self imposed royalty here . I don't know that ? Well neither do you.
