Yikes!  $220 with shipping, 8 bidders and 7 days to go? :o  A new 22lr Sportster runs about $195 OTD at my local shop.

What's your theory on what is driving the price?  Is it the "winning" aspect of auctions?   I have both a VP and Sportster and I don't get why the barrel is selling for more than a new rifle. ???

I don't get it either but you see it all the time.   H&R rifle at shotgun barrels only selling for as much or more than what an entire new gun cost.  If I decide I want a new rifle or shoty barrel I start cruising the pawn shops for used H&Rs.  I generally find an entire gun for half or better than what these guys are laying for just a barrel.  :D

Versa Pack.  Its a 22lr with an offset bore that fits a standard receiver.  They were discontinued several years ago.

I recently sold a new condition one to a member here for $100. Maybe I should contact him to see if he wants a refund on the ol' junker.  :)

Who would have thought, that?  Guess, my VP package went up in value. ;D ;D ;D

From this auction it appears the 22lr VP barrel is now worth more (a lot more) than a complete original gun.  I hope this barrel was some kind of fluke.

Further proof that there's an idiot born every minute... or in this case a few idiots. I can't believe how stupid some folks are. The whole combo used to be sold at Wally World for $117 bucks with the case.

I sold a VP .22 barrel a while back for $85 bucks shipped... I think that's a fair price for what they are. One of my buddies just got a Handi trio (22lr, 243, 20ga) with a case for $200 bucks. Seems like a fair price for a trio. He's looking for a 357 or 44 barrel to go with it... should make it even more versatile.

I recently bought a full VP on a Survior stock set, 22mag-conv, .410, from a member here... THANK YOU!!!... for $250.00.  It was a stretch for me and my meager finances, but it was my Christmas present to me...  :)   I knew it was a good deal.  This price on e---. is totally unreal.  No, I will not be selling my .22 mag barrel.  LOL.... I would think that would make my 17HMR Versa Pack worth a $1000 as it seems to be the only one that ever made it to market. Kurt

I just got a VP a few months back from someone on here. I shot it today right into a fat old armadillo that was threatening to give me leprosy. I just barely got away. ;D Great little rifle that will stay in my safe for many years to come. I agree though, at that price, they must have become rare as a hen's tooth.  ::)

The $285 one looks like the ejector tip is broken, so it may not even eject. I notice the ejector tip ever since I unknowingly sold one that had broken tip to another member on here....
