In the 60s I was big into coon hunting and at meets there would be a few Plott owners who seemed to love there dogs.  me, I like blueticks.

Have you ever been to a coon-on-a-log??

They were originally used for boar, bear, wolves and mountain lion. There was a bunch of guys that hunted fox on the property near where i lived. Never seen a plott or redbone in the bunch. One guy run walkers the rest all had blueticks.

I used to have a picture of my Bluetick and German Wirehair stretched out together sleeping in my den... long time ago...  :'(

In the 70's one of my uncles had a couple of plotts in his pack of hog dogs. It seems like I remember us taking one of them to tree squirrels when hunting with him once.

I see some of you have herd of them.  She's got stamina like you would not believe and a really sweet disposition toward people and most other dogs but when she is on game look out.  :)
