Liberals booed God at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte last year after skittish party officials reinserted a mention of him in the platform. Nothing has changed since then. The latest secularist push of the party is to remove God from the inauguration. Prominent liberals are questioning the use of the Bible for the presidential oath and the use of prayers in the ceremony.
 
They have already made some progress in their demands. In 2009, Obama upset them by selecting vaguely conservative pastor Rick Warren to deliver the invocation. But this year Obama has chosen a non-minister and unimpeachably liberal figure to deliver it — the widow of Medgar Evers.
 
Obama’s decision to go outside of the clergy for the invocation, which is a historic first, met with the approval of the chattering class. They felt that that would give a nice lowest-common-denominator touch to the proceedings. No need to bring in the clergy unnecessarily.

Our constitution was based on CHRISTIAN principles.  every state constitution mentions GOD.
The love of those principles is what has made this the greatest country in the world.
Now this party of the anti-God is tearing down what we've been building for more than 200 years.
We are being set-up for total control of the citizenry, starting with gun control, ala, stalin and hitler.

obama's liberal hypocrisy was more than blatant when he stated his support for "Gay brothers and sister" and then declared "God bless America" in closing...how can one declare support for the gay movement then call on God for his blessing? i think he needs to read those bibles he took his oath on.

should we infer from this if President Obama had instead taken the occasion of his inaugural to indulge in some homophobic bigotry, he'd had gained some Christian Approval?

Obama is anti capitalist, anti christian, and anti colonialist.  That is what his father believed from "Dreams From My Father" book of his.  Obama is the same, and also was mentored by communists in his life.  What more do you expect.

     I didn't see any place where Dwalk suggested Obama should stand there and declare the sin of homosexuality.. but I can join Dwalk in agreeing that as president he really shouldn't give further impetus to apereverse practice some folks are caught up in, and what rots the fabric of our nation.
  I find it interesting that Obama calls those unfortunates "brothers and sisters"..   Beyond my natural family, I also have "brothers and sisters" who believe and practice the same things..making us 'brothers & sisters"..  Christians, gun owners, veterans, Legionaires etc....  They are all "brothers & sisters" only in so far as we believe and practice the same things, where we are in disagreement, then we are simply "acquaintances"..
