As the title states I've just picked up my second Sig after having one that didn't work for me. I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgeries then two years after I had to have flexion and trigger release surgeries on my left hand. What this has done is given me some poor grip strength in general. So much so that when I had a Sig 230 (I couldn't find a Walther PPK/S) I was unable to cycle the slide, at all. And there pretty much isn't any way to shoot that gun if you can't cycle the slide so off it went on the auction block. I have however always wanted an all stainless 1911 so after picking up a couple of wanted preobama revolvers I set out to find any stainless steel 1911 that was available and was also legal in California. As luck would have it, that meant finding a Sig Stainless railed 1911 in 45 ACP. What a terrific gun. It came from the factory with a match barrel, barrel bushing, trigger, sear, and hammer. Ejection port was opened up and it came with laminated checkered wood grips. Not much more to ask for in a 1911. Along the way I was able to find six total magazines (8 round) and holster type stuff to go with it. My collection now consists of six handguns that fit nicely into a biometerics safe. Also easy to hide when the Obama's come to get them. I'm just now trying to fill three 50 caliber ammo cans with the three different types of ammo I now need. 45ACP, 44 mag, and 38 special. Once I get there I'll feel just a little more warm and fuzzy. Smithy.
