Looking for a shotgun smith
« on: January 27, 2013, 05:52:15 AM »
I'm thinking about having a long barreled shotgun cut down a bit.  I don't goose hunt, so a 30" barreled gun just doesn't come out much.  I'd like to find  a smith who will cut it back and put screw in chokes in it.  The local smith who did that sort of lathe work just doesn't return his calls ever since he died.   Does anybody have a smith they can recommend?  I don't have a problem shipping the work to them, but I'm hesitant to just google up some shop I've never heard of.  I'd feel better getting someone who comes recommended.
