Been without a contender for a long time.Sold mine some time ago.Ive been looking for one and came accross a great deal.SS  frame  14" 223 and 45-70 .

Congratulations on the great looking package!  I don't know what Contender set up you had before, but this one looks like a great start.  And on a more personal matter......how good of a deal was it????

I got the deal for 499. with a black buttstock also.Sold the 45-70 and odered a bullberry 8" 357barrel on the way.Was worred about the frame with that 47-70 ,But it's in great shape.Thanks

The frame can handle the 45-70 just fine if loaded reasonably.

$499 for a stainless frame, wood, two barrels and two scopes is a really great deal. Congratulations.

Was it a private sale or did you stumble across it at a pawn shop that didn't know the value?

Got it at a gun shop,They just got it in on consignment .there was two one blue 14' 7tcu 4X burris for the same price.I jumped on this one.thanks
