Scope Ring Question for Handi 44mag.

Have a Synthetic Handi 44.... Bought it and it had a Tasco scope on it, thought the eye relief was too short, so I removed it and mounted a red dot.  It works, but I miss the magnification.  Found a Bushnell Cantilever slug gun scope that I'd like to mount on her.  3-9 x 40 with a 1"tube.....  Do I need to buy Low, Med, or High mount rings for it?

High or extra high maybe if it has a huge power ring and ocular bell like late model Bushnells, the 713947 with 6" eye relief is such a scope if that's it. You can always remove the very tip of the hammer spur above the extension to use as low a ring as possible.

That's it, see the Bushnell model number to the right of the Midway #, it has the typical huge power ring and ocular bell that's not Handi friendly due to hammer interference unfortunately, otherwise they're great budget optics.

I have that scope on my 44 Mag and 357 Maxi barrels.  Works great for me.
