How do I keep my brass from corroding in storage?
« on: February 16, 2004, 11:54:05 AM »
I only sit at the reloading bench every so often. Thus I keep my fired brass in a container where it may sit for a while. I'm starting to notice corrosion on the cases when I do get around to reloading them and I'm wondering how I can store brass and keep it from turning green on me. I've tried cleaning the brass before storing it but that doesn't seem to help. Is there something safe to spray brass down with to protect it in storage? Thanks guys.

It's that terrific humidity you have in Alabama that makes metal corrode!

Try storing your clean brass and lead bullets in surplus metal ammunition cans.  They have neoprene rubber seals and are waterproof!

Great for long-term ammo storage too!
