Choke tube Question??????????????
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:23:06 AM »
17 years ago I had a custom turkey gun built on a H&R single shot platform. The choke tube is flush and while removing it one of the 2 notches broke out. I want to replace it with an extended turkey choke tube but I'm not sure what to replace it with. The tube box is barely readable but I can make out Tru choke. What can I replace it with that Basspro or Academy may have in stock. I can go with Midway or Brownells I'm sure but will be near the box stores this weekend. Thanks in advance for any info
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

Truchoke builds both standard and thin wall tubes. Don't know which you have. Difference is tube diameter, maybe thread pitch, don't remember....crs... Brownells catalog has specifics but you'l need to measure the existing tube diameters and pitches.. Thread guage will be fine for pitch, usually, dial calipher should work for measurements.. Good luck and good hunting.
