Sylvester Stallone's stance on gun control
« on: February 02, 2013, 02:34:56 PM »
A quote from a recent interview with Stallone:

"I know people get (upset) and go, `They're going to take away the assault weapon.' Who ... needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you're carrying out an assault. ... You can't hunt with it. ... Who's going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?"

That makes me woner what John Wayne would have said.

I saw that  - I'm disgusted but he never was very high on my list anyway. He's another one of these guys living in the outer atmosphere where reality is suspended most of the time.

Stallone is a hypocrite along the lines of Kirk Douglas and others. When Johnny Cash and Kirk Douglas made the movie "The Gunfight", Douglas in a discussion with Cash started a rant about the public shouldn't have guns. The two had to be separated by set staff, and Cash told him what a hypocrite he was, for usin guns to make his living, yet being against guns. The movie was almost called off, before it was finished.
Nothing has changed. Stallone's last move by all accounts is the bloodiest ever, and he is A-typical of Hollywood.

Stallone always sounded like he had a hair lip anyway . He is just sucking up to the Hollywierd crowd.
So he can get another gig before his biceps fall and become flabby and he looks like a girly boy .

Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!

Assault weapons personal defense weapons

Someone needs to tell stallone that the correct terminology is what the government calls them.
"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves."

He has his right to free speach, I have the right to disagree, especially with my wallet. I won't spend a dime on him anymore. If every gun owner boycotted his movies we could make a huge dent in his annual income.

Maybe his movie "Bullet to the Head" should be banned.  I think a title like that gives crazies more stupid ideas than people owning what are named "assault weapons".

But he'll make his millions and that's all that matters to him.
What a loser!

The problem with actors is the act . They play a part often of a great person . Then some how they believe they are great . They confuse money with style, knowlege and grace . John Wayne was a glowing exception to this. As for what he would say he said it . Something to the effect of making it in the world is hard being stupid makes it harder still or such. Then of course if things don't work out " fill your hands you sob "
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Who is to say what ANY law abiding person NEEDS??!?!?!?!?

They whole argument is flat wrong...  I shut up a loud mouth at work the other day when he was on a rant about hi cap mags...

I calmly asked about his car... He had a 60's hot rod. He is always bragging about. (It IS a beautiful car!!) I then asked about its top speed... Then WENT OFF about its 130 MPH speed. Saying why the hell does anyone NEED speed such as that. Speed limits are 65 at MOST and having a vehicle that will do double that is flat danger to society having that much power driving thru school zones where children play... He got my point is spades... ;)

For the most part there is NO arguing with these folks as they are mostly all hyprocrites (sp) as started...

Are brilliant arguments when attempting to educate the ignorant.  I applaud you!!!!!!

After all, an 1873 Winchester repeater was the assault weapon of the day....it is all relative.  The hot rod is no more dangerous than the AR-15....it is the hands they are in, and the mind behind the operation which constitutes the danger.

SHHHHHHHHH!!  Please don't mention that old leverguns were once assault weapons.  They'll put those on the list too!
