I'm doing ok guys, thank you all for your condolences that has given me the strength that was so
very needed. A thing like this has become an inspiration of my own salvation.                                 That salvation is the one thing that allows me to draw on that inner strength.

Anna, I will keep you in my prayers, and remember there is hope and life with the Lord. I too am going through a tough time now and my only peace is in the Bible and reading the word of God...Keep your faith and you will get through your sorrow. My lovely recently deceased wife Marti loved horses, so perhaps my wife and your father are talking or caring for horses now, IF there are horses in heaven of course....<><.... ;)

Anna,

I just found this thread and express my sympathies at you lost having lost my mother just five years ago. I came across part of this quote by Jonathan Edwards yesterday and hope that you find encouragement by his wishes toward his family.

Dear Lucy, it seems to me to be the will of God, that I must shortly leave you; therefore give my kindest love to my dear wife, and tell her that the uncommon union which as so long subsisted between us, has been of such a nature,as I trust is spiritual, and therefore will continue for ever.  And I hope she will be supported under so great a trial and submit cheerfully to the will of God.  And as to my children, you are now like to be left fatherless, which I hope will be an inducement to you all to seek a Father who will never fail you…

May Christ be near!
