Henry 30-30

I just bought a new H009 it has ghost ring sights. I have not fired the gun yet,but I think want to put a 3x9x40 bushnell trophy on it instead .
 I will be deer hunting in Florida and Virginia.

You don't need that much scope on a .30-30. Why not go with a fixed 4X or perhaps a 1.5-4.5 or some such. At most I'd use a 2-7. All will give much wider FOV than a 3-9 and all have all the magnification you'll need for shots out as far as you have any business shooting with a .30-30.

You need a good scope for Florida deer; they are tiny. LOL
