Louisville Metro Police have arrested Shannon Brown after they say she was in possession of heroin while riding with her 8-year-old son.

Shannon Beam, 42, was pulled over in the 9500 block of Preston Highway after officers noticed one operating headlight.
When officers pulled over Beam, they noticed numerous needles and metal spoons associated with heroin usage.
Officers also found a syringe filled with suspected heroin just inches away from her 8-year-old son.
Beam is facing multiple charges including endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
