Extra-long fore end on Laminated Thumbhole set
« on: February 09, 2013, 10:43:01 AM »
Saw this on Gunbroker and was curious to see if anyone here knows about the xtra long forend. I emailed the seller and asked him if it was a Muzzleloader set, but he never responded...interesting..the forend looks almost as long as the butt stock
12g shortie w/chokes,Tamer .410,12g "Buck" slug gun w/20g extra barrel, 12g smooth bore tracker I, 45/410 w/22vp matched set, 7mm-08, .308 20",

my avatar pic is my 1960 Rambler I bought in 1972 for $175..6 banger 3-on-the-tree...drove it for 5 yrs  22mpg.. was "hot-rodding" (LOL) one night...tore out 1st/reverse gear. Drove it that way for 2 yrs(with no reverse and only 2nd and high)  Had to really plan ahead when parking.
sold it for $125

I bought the same set from that company over the summer, although I didn't know it was not a standard forearm until I opened the box.  Tim's correct (as usual) it's for the big slug barrel or a 10 gauge.  It's about 11 inches long and the channel is about 1.19" wide.  Egads, the price has doubled. :o

Do they have 'em in checkered walnut or plain pallet wood?  That might be a nice addition to a project. . .

Gun stocks inc has a target varmit forend also.  Little more wood work to do though.  I got one last week & will post up on how it turns out.  It is at least 3" longer than the forend on my ultra hunter
