Predictions for the year 2042!

   Howdy! I just picked the year 2042; however, what do you think society and our laws might be by that year. I have a couple of predictions of things that may happen by 2042.
First, the government or big brother will know who you are, where you are, and what you are doing 24/7. Second, there will be no deductions allowed for income tax, what you make will be taxed accordingly. Let's here your predictions of what might happen by the year 2042!

Well, I'll be 99 years old and hopefully, I'll still be enjoying retirement.  I'd hate to think that things will deteriorate to the point that I'll be forced to start another career.


At the rate we're going, the country should be about $16,098,965,002,131,542,298,003,756,574,001,981,654,776,145,989,556,234,009,431,675.26 in debt--as near as I can figure.  There will be a lot of talk about budget cutting, but the Dumycrats will poo-poo that.

Let's see, I will be about 84 by then.
Yes, they most likely will know where I am 24/7.
I won't be hard to find.
There will probably be a small rectangular shaped stone marking my little spot in the ground.
On it will be written something like this.

I'm guessing that by that time there will have been some sort of human population crash. Like rabbits and foxes and every other population we will outstrip our food supply or will succumb to some sort of pathogen. Barring that outcome we will live lives much like those in Japan. Dense city dwelling, happiness will be measured by experiences not accumulation of wealth. Rural areas will be more than ever reserved for agriculture or parks. All industry will move to urban centers. The local factory will be a memory.


2042 is pretty close for this outcome but the handwriting will be on the wall for all to see.

   Howdy! I thought of a couple more things that could come about by 2042 or shortly thereafter. First, you many not have many choices for burial. We might only be able to either leave our organs for donation, our body for dissection, or cremation. Graves may become a thing of the past. Second, the government may decide the amount of food to give you based on your family size. We may be unable to shop at a grocery store which may be government operated. Maybe a twice a month delivery to your home of groceries that someone else (Big Brother) selects for you. For any additional food, you will have to grow it yourself or barter for it. i hope we'll all be living peaceful
fulfilling lives.
but i'm just afraid if this world as
we now know it is here at all, it
will likely be one of those apocalytic
movie type scenarios- mad max, road warrior
type deals. we're heading down that
road with the decay of any type of moral
behavior, the idea of the 1960's " i'll do
whatever makes me feel good regardless
of the consequences to myself or anyone else",
and the glorifying of debauchery and decadence.
i don't know how close-in urban dwellers
will fare. i think the outlying rural close-knit
communities will be the surviving pockets
of a civilized society.
