BHN 9mm

I am going to cast some 9mm 124 gr LRN from a lee mold. I was told that the BHN for 9mm should be at least 20 because of the high pressure. I will not be loading a hot load so do I need that kind of hardness or can I use ww lead? What has experience shown? These will be tumble lubed with Alox.

No, wheel weight's will be fine.  If you still have concerns, water drop'em when you cast.

Thank You for the reply. I think I will quench and try some. There must not be too many people casting and shooting 9mm.

Have been shooting the lee 124gr cast, wheel weight water quenched bullet for about 15 yrs in my CZ75B  using 3.9 grs of bullseye.
