To my knowledge H&R has never made a 22Lr bull barrel, the Sportster comes with standard contour 20" barrel. They have made the Ultra Varmint 22 Mag(discontinued) with a bull barrel tho, 22" IIRC. The only other bull barrel rimfires are the 17hmr and discontinued 17M2, both 22", be sure to let us know whatcha get.  ;) The SS1 rimfire frame is the same size as other modern H&R single shot frames, all furniture is interchangable, forend barrel channels can vary particularly for some shotgun barrels.

And, FWIW, the Ultra Varmint I ordered way back was called (and box labeled) 'bull barrel', but it is a 'heavy barrel' with taper. I almost passed on it after it showed because of this; am I ever glad I didnt!
Remarkably though, my light barrel Sportster barrel I fitted to the frame is really pretty accurate too, no complaint at all about its performance.
Ive never seen or heard of a 'bull' 22LR either, but if you really get one Id say its kinda special or something new I dont know about yet. Even if it is not, you can 'sleeve it' to create a true bull barrel to meet your needs.

That sounds like a 22 mag Ultra Varmint to me, hope ya wanted a mag instead of the 22Lr. It's a great price if that's what it is, has to be old stock tho, it hasn't been made for years, H&R quit using the NEF brand in 2007-2008, I suspect they(WS or their distributor) have an error in there catalog.

Fantastic price for the HB 22Mag! I hope you are not disappointed that is what it is?
Mine has shot mostly Win. SuperX DynaPoints, a flash plated 45gr, lead HP chron'ed at 1500fps, which duplicates the old 22WCF and costs about $7.50/bx of 50. FWIW, it has won a few, and placed in more of our 'Small-Bore BPCR matches' (reduced targets out to 100yd., same course of fire as the big bores). I fielded a custom Win '85 LW with a Win. 52 barrel rechambered to 22 M at the same time and the old NEF did as well (so guess which one is gone now?).
It shoots the true 22Mag jacketed loads very well too, if one is so inclined.
Oh, and with the CR wood on it they look GREAT.
If you dont care for it Im SURE someone here WILL want it.

I loved my ultra 22mag. but it liked rem 33gr vmax bullets now about $20. box.  So I re did it to ctr fire khornet and it rocks the woodchucks.  Cheaper to shoot than rimfires.  Looking to do same in 17 and 20cal khornets.  about 10 to 13gr powder.   only drawback is loads for squirrels.  Still need reduced load info.  So you have this option also.  Goodluck brother.

sales person said they had 3 in stock   it is a 22 S L LR   I have a 3to 12 scope for it
the reason I got it is the squirel population is getting out of hand at the camp   wanted a pellet gun but found out,in order  to get the high speeds they advertise , the pellets cost 8.99 for a hundred . 22 shorts  are subsonic. and should do just fine
