Need ejector rod return spring for High Standard Double Nine
« on: February 13, 2013, 04:27:13 AM »
I have a High Standard Double Nine (104) that is missing the ejector rod return spring. There's not much wiggle room on the dimensions that will work. Numrich and some of the other sources either don't have it or don't list it. I have heard some mention that they used a ink pen spring but the ones I have tried won't work. I would appreciate any leads on where one might be found or what might work.                                                                                                                               Thanks alot.           greer

Give Brownells a look. They have spring assortments that should have the size you need. Do some measuring first (max outside diameter, ejector rod diameter=max inside diameter, & OD -ID / 2 = max wire diameter..) You might also check with Wolff Springs to see if they have one available.. Perhaps a spring for the Ruger Single six might work???

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know if Wolff would sell individual springs or not. I'll give them a call. I believe I read that the earlier Double Nines didn't have this spring and you had to push the extractor back in before you closed the cylinder.  greer
