G2 Frame and a older barrel with a single screw forend touble
« on: February 14, 2013, 10:03:23 AM »
Ok, super please in a swap I made for my almost nib 45/410 barrel for a octogonal 44mag barrel...put it together and woops...the wood forend gets hung up on the G2 frame :o .  Other than using a dremel tool on the wood till it clears the frame(which would be so wrong as the wood looks pretty nice) what are my options?  The barrel with out the forend fits fine.   HELP!!!! :'(

I had one forend that had some interference that I fixed just as you suggested: I used my dremel and removed about a quarter inch from the length of the wood at the back end of the wings, then used rubbing poly to refinish.
