All 3 will do, really. But of the 3, if it's a close up game like it is here, well, that 12 ga slug will drop em right there, right now!  The other two, they may, or may not toodle off????

One thing I like to do, no matter what round I am using is to go to the range, or woods and set up three or four targets at random. Then, as I walk along and keep moving, I have someone call out or point out one of the targets. At that time, I turn quickly, aquire the target, and get off a round as quickly as possible... This is really effective in getting ready for a boar hunt, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE USING DOGS... As you walk along, not knowing which target you will be shooting, everyting is constantly changing. When your partner calls out the target, and you get good at a quick, accurate shot, you will know when you are ready to go...
I want to finish well
I want to end this race

I have been told that the recoil from a 12 gauge 3 1/2" turkey loads is equal to that of a .458 Winchester Magnum!   I can't imagine shooting a slug from a 3 1/2" shell.  That slug must weigh as much as an elephant and kick like a mule!
