Marlin Safety Lock
« on: February 18, 2013, 11:54:03 AM »
I was going through a box of stuff and came across a couple Marlin Safety Locks in the wrapper that came with new Handi's.  Anyone ever found a use for them?

Just the padlock, not for the gizmo that comes with it.

As Tim said....It's just a padlock.

Tim, the Gizmo is a just light weight boat anchor.

Scrap metal, it adds up, I gathered a bunch of it last summer from the garage and shop, got over $100 for it at Pacific Metal, had a bunch of the lock gizmos to add to all the old computer cases I stripped!!  ;D

The main purpose of the lock & gizmo is to get loose during shipping and beat the crap out of your NIB Handi. >:(

I took everyone out of the box at my FFL's gunshop and gave them to him.  When a newbie buys a gun, usually a handgun, and asks for a gunlock he gives them one.  I think the new gun owner then stays up all night trying to figure out how to install it on their G22. ;)
