from the link, I can't determine the diameter they are sized to, but if they are not 0.002+ over groove diameter, they may lead.
more so if they are hard cast, as most commercial ones are, to keep the damage from shipping down.
also, the lube is not always up to snuff.
first off, what did your bore slug out to?
Perhaps make an impact cast of your chamber.
go from there.
My Handi 45/70's slug out at 0.4555/0.4595, so the usual suspects of commercial bullets won't do well for me.
as for cleaning? as long as accuracy is there, I never clean. I only clean if there is a reason to.
a proper fitting cast bullet, with a good lube, shot with a decent load could shoot a long time and never need cleaning.
