1/5 Scale Cannon Manufacturers
« on: February 19, 2013, 04:38:36 AM »
Hello,

I will be the first to admit that I know absolutely nothing about using blackpowder or cannons.  Naturally I do understand most of the fundamentals and general theory.

So this brings me to my question.

I am looking to purchase a 1/5 scale working civil war era field gun.  Something like a Napoleon Field Gun.

I saw some from Dixie Gun Works that look correct, and one is even marketed as 1/5 scale.  However, I really don't know how reputable, or good their product is.

Any advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Patrick

Welcom aboard, Patrick! You should check with some of our sponsors (stickies), to hear what they have to say about building you a scale model Napoleon.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.
