i couldn't tell if it was a flinter or not.
it would be neat either way.
you'd have to touch up the flint with
a sledgehammer. if it was a capper,
you couldn't carry but one spare cap, like
maybe in a backback, and it would be
hard to drop it and lose it. a patch would
be like a small bedsheet or a tarp, and
you'd have to lube it with a paint roller
or something. i think it would be easy to
rule out a spit patch. cleaning would be
kinda rough, but at least you could get
someone skinny to crawl inside and scrape
the breechplug manually.
