That's about as close a call as you'll get. As far I can say, it is a toss up-- well within the "every gun is an individual" dept. A better than average Omega would likely outshoot a lesser than average Encore, and vice-versa.

Have only shot an Encore, but from what I have read it would be a tossup.  I say accuracy would not be the deciding factor.  They both have a totally different feel and stock style.  I think I would just pick the one that felt the best to me.  You can change barrels on the one also.

I have one of each, for me out of the box the Omega shot the best. The Encore need some work to make it shoot as well as the Omega.

If money is not an issue, i would get the Encore. You can adjust the
trigger on an Encore. You can also inerchange barrels. I guess one
being made better doesn't matter, because both have lifetime warranties.
Just my opinion. Of course i own an Encore also.

I own several of both, and the Omega is the easier to dial in. Each will shoot awesome groups once their correct load is found. One thing I will say the Omegas like things hot, everyone I own shoots very well with maximum loads.

I have an Omega, and it shoots great. I agree with Bullseye - they feel totally different, so try to handle them both and see which one feels best for you. Either way, you can't lose.
