Hey there UP man...I bought mine but there is nothing to make one especially if you can weld.  I'll give you a start but there are many variations to the theme.

Get a 4 foot lenght of 1/2 inch pipe, three feet of round stock maybe 3/8 (it must slide easily inside pipe), another piece of rd stock lets say 6 inches to weld on end to form "T" handle, some 1/4 inch too 5/16 cable maybe 2 feet (you will have to play with length to get things just so) and a couple of pieces of 1/4 by 3/4 flat stock (two 4 inch pieces and one about 3 inches).  Now drill two holes the size of your cable one in each end of a 4inch length of flat stock.  Weld the flat stock to the end of your ppipe with one hole centered over the bore of the pipe.  Weld one end of the cable to the end of three foot length of Rd stock and weld the wo pieces of rd stock together to form the "T" handle at the other end.  Thread the cable and "T" rod into the pippe with the cable coming through the drilled hole.  Thread the end of the cable back through the other drilled hole.  Play with things to get a good sized loop formed when the rod is pushed down and a small tight loop when the rod is pulled back.  Once you have things the way you want make your cable.  Take the thing apart. Drill two  3/8 inch holes one in each end of the other piece of flat stock (the round stock must slide smoothly through these holes so maybe a 64th larger; 25/64).  Bend this piece of flat stock to form a "U" with about a 3/4 inch.  Weld this tto the open end of pipe with the hole centered.  (it really is easier to buy one from BOGGY you know  ) In the last piece of flat stock another hole needs to be drilled.  To locate this hole place the piece into the "U" bend until it bottums against the "U"...transfer the hole from the "U" to the last piece of stock and drill a hole.  This is your locking lever and the hole will need to be a bit larger than 25/64...you will have to fiddle.  To assemble thread the cable end and "T" rod through the top "U" hole, through the locking lever, through the bottum "U" hole through the pipe, thread the cable out of the bottum hole and back through the other bottum hole.  Make certain that all works and crimp a stop on the cable at the mark and trim.  Paint Pink with yellow pookie dots so it dosen't get mixed up with mine

Hope this helps some.  I'll try to remeber to get a PIC but you still ahave time to purchase one from Boggy
