No, Really.... IS there a cure?
« on: February 22, 2013, 03:10:29 PM »
I am seriously thinking about selling off my Ruger 1B in 270Win, and all my bolt and Auto guns, to offset the cost of my lastest Handi/Topper purchases.

oh... and I have been smitten by the 30-30Win!

I NEED HELP!

You'd better be careful or you will be out on your own again.  Precious few women will put up with a gun habit on wild...

Somehow they always find out...  I used to do a bit of cash business, pocket the money and save it up for guns.  She figured out the guns were multiplying but didn't know where the cash was coming from.

Don't know how "serious" you are, but if you have a one or both of those quintessential American-.30cals (in .308 and/or .30-06), those are must-have chamberings in my survivalist-self suffiencent-mind!

If that .270 Ruger 1B is a 26incher, you need to keep it as is, or still keep it and rebarrel to .280, with a 26inch bbl!  8)

Handi's are great, but some singleshooters might be better!  ;)

Hi Everyone

I'm nanuk

and I'm a handiholic  ;)

I don't get it....   I thought, "What the Hell, it's ONLY a 45/70! A nice compact, easy shooting rig for Moose hunting!  What could go wrong?"  :P

Well, from there it went to another 45/70, then another NEF with a short barrel, then a TrackerII 20Ga rifled barrel, then a 357Mag, then a 223SL, then an old H&R Topper 12ga that locks up TIGHT on one of the 45/70's, Then a 157Manny in 30-30, then two 35Whelens....   a Handi30-30, then a Topper 30-30, and NOW, I bought Hoyt's 30-06!  Add in a 20ga Nickeled Tamer....   ;D

What is that...  11 frames and 3 barrels?   :-\

I am afraid I got it Bad.....   I need to spend 3 months in the forest, on a Retreat....  Detox if you will, crossing over a few hunting seasons!   :o

That is my ONLY hope....   ;)

and all you Enablers are no help!   ;D

Thanks for that!!

I think the term is "satiation therapy", which occurs when you have so many that if you think you want another, you cannot be sure that you don't already have it, so you must inventory...... which you cannot invariably get through without being sidetracked by some amazing thing you already have but had forgotten............ ;)
