The difference between left and right.

There are a lot of people who vote Democrat (Left) that are hard working , tax paying individuals.There are lots of hard working, tax paying Republican ( Rights).

I come from a large Southern family of eight. We were split down the middle when it came to voting.
All were law abiding, hard working citizens. I say was because two who always voted Democrat and one who (until he found all to be crooks, voted Republican) now are deceased. I have always voted Republican until the last two elections, and I'm now the odd man out, and even scorned more because I'm now more or less Old school Republican(AKA) Libertarian and refuse to vote for the snake with two heads.

Most who make it to the top level in politics are IMO Crook's. Some are just smarter than others and don't get caught.I think plain stealing from the tax payer, is more prevalent with Black politicians because it's politically incorrect to speak out against them. So they feel secure in doing so. Jesse Jr. had a great roll model for stealing and other forms of lawlessness. Just look at what he's been able to get by with because of his color. One of the biggest racist's in America, and you NEVER hear one peep from the media (Including Faux) calling him what he is! (Politically incorrect)

Generally speaking! I see little difference in left and right politicians at the state and national levels in what they do............Only what they say.

If you find one who only enriched himself by his salary, legal investments, etc. during his tenure, I'd like to shake his hand...

I think that making the indictment that all politicians are crooks is unfair unless you can prove it.  I will admit that their ranks are loaded with hypocrites and those who don't seem to have a problem with defrauding taxpayers.  Many of them have used their positions to enrich themselves unfairly and even unlawfully.  But you could say those things about the general population.  So yeah, our politicians kind of reflect the electorate.


The mistake we make is looking to politicians to be leaders.  They are not leaders, they are public servants and should be considered such.  And as such, they should be reminded constantly that they can be replaced--often.  None of these folks should ever be allowed to stay in office long enough to get comfortable and not a single one should ever be able to make a career of it.

Magooch, I would say that they are only serving themselves. I think that if one looks at their wealth accumulation after only a few years, it is obvious. Take the president: he knows nothing about economics, as anyone who does can readily detect his ignorance after listening to him only a few minutes. Yet people look to him to get us out of this recession expecting him to know more than all the entrepreneurs out there. The people have accepted central planning as a necessity, and as it ended the soviet union, it will also end the US empire.

The difference in left and right is just that. The far left is too far left and the far right is too far right, although I find it hard to be too far right.  just sayn   
 
Ever notice that all polititians move to the center during election time and then haul it back to the far corner after its over.
 
Everything said and done, Ben Franklin said that when the people realize that they can vote themselves money it will mean the end of the republic.

I find it somewhat irritating that the great majority of politicians, together with the media, their support industries and sycophants , all seem to see this as the ultimate sporting event, a never ending game that just keeps racking up points, with no time limit or finish line. Nothing is ever finished, settled. In biblical times they took care of business, when they had war they had war. They killed everything, right down to house pets, there was no one left to plot revenge or return to power. This is a game where no one ever wins. I don't know about you, but all of their rules, regulations, ordinances etc has an impact on my life in real ways, and this perpetual war is the most destructive of all. When the rules constantly change and the goal posts move arbitrarily, it produces anomie . That can destroy us all, and even worse, long before that point is reached, we will no longer even be capable of caring.
