« on: February 24, 2013, 11:57:35 AM »
I'm having a custom barrel made by MGM. I three question one do you have to get a custom fore arm ? I plan on get a for end bar does that have to be custom fitted to the for end to work ? Or does it simply bolt on to the for arm?

I have 2 MGM barrels and they take the reg. tc forarm. The chambers are match grade so you may have to watch your over all length if you reload.

Standard forends will work. But you can have a stock made to accomodate and use a hanger bar and use it on the barrel -- no problems at all. You'll just need to know if you ahve the S14 or S16 spacing.

Two MGM's that I have purchased use regular forearms. One was for a Contender and the other an Encore.

If you go with the hanger bar then the standard forend will not fit the hanger bar. If it's a barrel without the H.B. then the regular forends will work.
