I'm pretty proud of my photo frames. Never get two alike! But this shadow box I did for my grand daughter is my favorite to date. Everything I make is from very old weather beaten and rotting wood. The wood this was made from had to be epoxied together before I could start cutting and routering. Love this thing!

Very nice work Don! Did you burn the cracks or is that just natural coloring?

I don't burn anything. I use clear epoxy to hold things together that might not hold and to fill nail holes ect the keep dust from getting inside. Some cracks are fragile and they to are reinforced with epoxy. Then after sanding, I apply the finish and let the wood take on what color it will. Cracks always come out dark.
