My son in law went to a very Christian private school. He talks about how sex , drinking an drug abuse was more common than the parents were aware of. He got hooked on heroin at that school from some of his " good religious" friends. Luckily he has been clean for years. If a girl gets pregnant she is forced to leave the school . One of the teachers was brought up on charges and later convicted of sexually abusing exchange students from China.

For whats it's worth I had the pleasure of going to both public and private schools . As for moral conduct there was little difference in the two. I saw homosexual teachers in both , drugs in both, teachers having sex with students in both the list goes on. In either case the problems exist . The education in private school was much better mainly because the parents were paying and got involved more . In private school we went to chapel every friday and had to wear a coat and tie. We also had a stricter dress code there. One thing to consider is most public schools pull students from the same areas where private schools pull students from larger and more areas which brings in more problems to be shared among students. The private school also had 1st grade thru. post grad and all rode the same buses so the young got exposed to Life a bit early in some cases . So thinking one  thinking one system is better is flawed one must look at each school and who attends . My wife went to public schools in a school in a different location and saw very little moral decay at school though it existed in the area.
 Parents first need to realize often it is in fact their kids who are the problem

   There are bad eggs in every setting...and they should be prosecuted as required.  You can bloviate the rare circumstance all you wish but I presume that most people here will know that generally speaking, the Christian colleges keep a better moral atmosphere than most secular schools..simply because they MAKE AN EFFORT TO DO SO.
  What you consider a "Christian" school and what others consider a "Christian" school can differ widely.  Many so-called "Christian" churches gave up true Christianity long ago... and some of them still run schools in their pretences.  I would have to know just what "good Christian school" we are talking about ..before I can evaluate your claim.
   BTW: I presume you counselled long and hard with your daughter before you placed your blessing upon her marrying a current or ex-addict.. (remember, you brought it up)
