I saw in the news last night that the defendant in the trevon martin case is gonna use the "stand your ground law" in place in Florida in his defense. There is at least one other case using that defense in Florida right now.

Now it seems Florida is rethinking that law as is three other states.

The report said that violent crime is down by 21 % since the law passed but.......there have been 30 deaths attributed to it.

SEEMS its working like it should to me!

A lot of the legal talking heads around here are stating that GZ has a valid SYG defense but judge Nelson will rule against him because she is afraid of the black community (local and out of state race mongers) rioting if GZ gets off. It surely is some tense times around here.

Not the SYG hearing ....... facts about SYG go before Judge Nelson and she decides if it is valid (and the case goes no further and immunity from civil suits for GZ). If Judge Nelson says no to SYG then GZ will have to go to trial and prove Self Defense in the criminal court. If he is acquitted of second degree murder then he still faces jeopardy in civil court which no doubt will follow. the SYG hearing is key to the future around here.

If the judge rules syg, the blacks will take that town apart, and she knows it. He'll face a jury and they'll convict him.

This is very interesting. Mob justice is exactly how hillary klinton, as a law student at harvard, got the 3 black panthers accused of murdering a informant freed of murder charges evn though each one of them confessed to their part in the crime. It seems the gutless judge in harvard yard did not have the moral or ethical strength to convict the felons because he was too worried about how the foaming racist blacks in the area would take to his findings and he feared they would riot. So now everyone has to worry about what a uninformed mob thinks - gutless judges, immoral politicians. This should become another Watts and let the Fla NG clean out the racist ghettos.

Zimmerman should have fled when he had the chance. There is no way he gets a fair trial or an unbiased jury. Judge Jackson and Judge Sharpton have already found him guilty based on the evidence provided by prosecutor Shabazz and company.

I agree about the judge knowing what will happen if he doesn't send the case to a jury trial. Zimmerman is going to be a scape goat one way or the other. If riots break out because of this I think a great many people will end up using the SYG law to protect life and limb from looters and we will have a glaring example of why citizens "need" assault style weapons.

We are seeing an increase in flash mobs attacking stores and innocent bystanders. This case will just be another excuse to do something stupid.

Then you have to ask yourself. Are people buying up guns and ammo as fast it hits the shelf because they think it is going to be banned...or are they buying because of the looming sense of evil? A gun is the best option to protect yourself and your family in case of a disaster whether natural or man made...after prayer of course.

Keep your fingers crossed for the country!

All it takes is for one liberal politician to babble the above and the biased news will quickly report "rethinking the law."

That is all that is about.

Martin had the right and did the right thing.
The biased liberal news is the only thing that is actually prosecuting him.

It would seem the stand your ground law failed in this case . When it is working the defendent does not have to defend himself or be arrested. Don't forget the Chief of police and head DA both quit.
This may be the case that goes to the SCOTUS .
Would add the roit that would follow a not guilty verdict will last less time than the crime spree that will follow a guilty one

The SYG doesn't work the same for everyone here. IIRC not long ago in Fl and older black man killed a younger white father in front of his son over something stupid. But got off because of SYG. If it was reversed I doubt it would have been the same expecially do to the age difference let alone the jackson & sharpton crew. Blacks are killing each other daily down here but not much is said about it by jackson & sharpton but god forbid if a white man kills a black man all hell brakes loose. Not trying to sound racist but facts are facts.

I know what propamedia is doing.....technically a Latin or Hispanic person would or could check white or Caucasian on various forms, healthcare forms etc...even if having the darkest skin color. That's my understanding.

BTW a health facility that receives any Fed monies or participates with Medicare/caid has to offer "Hispanic" as a choice of ethnicity on their health questionaires....one of the hoops we jump through.....whether the person fills it out as such is another question.
