I'm beginning to feel desperate. In 2 wks she will have no med coverage, no drs, meds, nothing. Those meds keep her alive. Between heart, BP, Chol, bladder, diabetes, etc she has 14 meds she takes daily. They cost more than our income.
I can NOT understand how she could be dropped after all these years, our health dept said, welcome to obamacare. She would not be eligible for help for 3 more years, without meds she will not live that long.
We talked to a woman with the state who will send us a pkt to apply for help with meds but it won't even be looked at til May 1st when her current coverage is done.
Her heart dr thinks she has sleep apnea on top of everything else and will hopefully be tested before her card is gone. She seems to gasp for air on her back, other times her breathing almost stops while sleeping, she also nods off at other times too.
Still waiting on a return call from our reps office.
I caught a bug of sorts, both lungs full of fluid and sinuses plugged up. Got a shot and antibiotics. Supposed to have a heart cath done Thurs, but doubt I will unless this clears up. The AB raise BP a bit, I occasionally use a nasal spray, gen afrin, I used it Sat night and my BP went through the roof, 194 over 98. I like to never got it dwn, scared the crap out of me.
