i'm just not a sandal person.
i do way much better with some
kind of shoe or boot. i still have
some teva sandals from way back
that have good nylon straps and
arch support built into the footbed,
but i just use them for the shower
at campgrounds and for relaxing
at camp after a days hunting, etc.
i've been through a tornado and
one really good tidal surge/flood
in south la. and i wouldn't have
wanted any kind of open footwear
in those deals. my place in the sticks
has more than a few bullnettles too,
and they'll go through carhartt britches
before you know what happened.
if you have to wear those shoes because
of your feet giving you fits, i sure don't
blame you any. if i had to make my feet
right somehow, i'd wear walmart sacks
and cardboard like robert duvall if need be.
