Parts for Type 3 era frame
« on: February 18, 2004, 06:40:00 AM »
I'm in the process of picking up another TC, 1975 production. This one has a cotter pin holding the selector screw in place. Looking at it, it appears as though there should be a small spring that pushes out on 2 little BBs, which in turn snap into small recesses on the sides of the hammer. So, it should click when you turn it, I guess.

If that's right, where can I get those little parts?

I know TC used to update the whole hammer assembly free of charge if it was broke.  I had one about the same vintage that had a problem and they installed the new assembly, just like on a new contender and it cost me the freight to send it to them, nothing else.  I'd sure give'm a call.
GOOD SHOOTIN', Walt

yep my first Contender which was a 2nd generation I believe developed a split thru the hammer. I paid the shipping to get it to them and they replaced the whole assembly. I did however pay them to convert it to easy open at the same time. It  took four weeks.
