The current issue has an article on Handi Rifles.

No, it's the March/April issue.  Title is "The Handi-Rifle-My "Onw-Gun" Gun Collection"

March/April is not out here yet.  Or the local Walmart quit carrying them.

I subscribe so I'm sure to get the current issue.  I first found it when I lived in central Washington.  One issue and I sent in my subscription.  I really enjoy the articles and usually read it completely through from cover to cover.

Ron, what articles did you write? What issues were they in? I usually keep most of the back issues. Just can't bear to throw them out.

  How do they pay?

The articles are:  Tokarev TT-30 and The poor mans Parker hale.  My next one is on canoe guns, not shotguns but rifles.  I made one and did the write up.  Cost was $120... Charlie pays in subscriptions... two years worth per article.  I

Charlie is good people. I first 'read' him when he was writing a column for (IIRC) The Buckskin Report back in the '70's. He and his wife have kept that BWM going on a shoestring and hard work while other high-buck 'niche' publications have gone down the drain. I hope it can outlast them. If anybody reading these posts hasnt seen it, FIND IT, you wont regret it.

I wish I had taken advantage of that lifetime subscription while it was still being offered. I let my subscription lapse but I found the new issue at the grocery store the other night. I havent actually paid for a subscription for almost 6 years. I wrote 3 articles and they published 2 so far. I got 2 or 3 two years subscriptions in exchange. Not a bad deal.

I pick up every new issue.  Love it, and driving my wife crazy for a day when I can't put it down.  I have some fun projects I'm going to try to do this summer with my boy because of that magazine.  Love the "dirt under the fingernail" weekends in the State Forest and the garage.

I'm a yearly subscriber..have read it for about 10 years now.  I pass the copies to my grandsons.

I have thought about writing an article..may do it yet!  Good, down to earth info..

Only other outdoor magazine I read regularly (besides American Rifleman), is Fur-Fish-Game  another down-to-earth publication.

Thank you.  Once I starting reading I wanted to start writing.  I hope you like the next article about making canoe guns (rifles) out of old surplus rifles.  The next article I'm writing is on a new twist to the rocket stove for backpacking.
