TEA set out to influence a political party
Yes they did, and that's as far as they got JMO You see it differently. I think party politics is too ingrained in this generation to ever see change.Perhaps someday, but for now it's the us against them theology. As long as people vote the party and not the person, nothing will change for the better. The Tea Party showed a growing distrust of BOTH parties!
For their own sakes........I hope this next generation sees the folly in Party politics and votes with their own brain, instead of a Limbaugh or Mathews, or any other mouth piece for one of the oppressing parties.

The TP set out to start a new party to embrace the constitution in a literal sense, cut government, cut taxes, cut pork and try to introduce the general public into a more moral and responsible political atmosphere.
Naturally, this provoked the Leftists, Marxists and Rinos into great hatred of these good folks..so these same malevolent forces seemingly entered a tacit pact, where they would all slander, attack and spread malicious untruths about thses grass roots citizens
. The REAL misunderstanding came about when so many folks who SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER..Believed the lies spread by the Leftists, Marxists and Rinos..and some of them STILL believe such tripe!
