Just don't miss. Ima love my Hornets and K's... 40 VM and LG does em' in every time! Sure you wanna do it, plus a full case of TB will do better than most would think... it has done in many coons and foxes for us... have yet to try the TB on a yote but LG has accounted for a few.

that is what i am using 13 grains lil gun under a 40 grain hollow point that were made with jackets intended for higher speed .22 calibers. shooting the center out of a bull today at 100 yards. Sighted it 3/4 high should be good to just hold the crosshairs on to about 175 which i will never be shooting at night at that distance anyway. my first time out so ordered my night eyes lights today. hit the range for the last time. got some #4 buchshot just in case they are real close. One shot should do I hope or my partner will get them on the second.

I have hunted a lot at night and generlly there is no second shot. I load my 22-250 down to 2400 fps with a 45 gr. Hornet bullet and it does a fine job on any coyotes around my chicken coup.

Im thinkin' no second shot for you either way, your best second shot is the partner.

The coyote may be faster than your partner, and Handi's are not the quickest for follow-up shots... but you should still take the second one at the yote, rather than at your partner... you'll run out of partners fast like that!  ;)

The ONLY time you SHALL HAVE a Partner when hunting is with Polar Bears on the ice, on foot.

If you first few shots don't stop him, he'll charge you....    your ONLY option is to shoot your partner in the knee...

Or you could hunt with a fat partner and conserve ammo.
