357 Max brass
« on: March 06, 2013, 02:48:46 AM »
Picked up a 10 inch barrel for my Encore in a 357 Max.  Looked around the net for brass and could not find any available.  Anyone know where I might pick up a couple of  hundered brass in these crazy times?  Thanks for any help.

Put an ad on the classified forum.  At GBO you can't put a want to buy on a discussion forum, and if this turns into one I will remove the thread.  If people know where some is available they can post. it here or PM you.

I checked MidSouth first.....out of stock.....same at MidWay.  I thought Starline made it but is not shown on their website....Wouldn't hurt to call 'em anyway.  Also might post over on H & R (NEF) forum....those guys like the Max as well as we do.

I actually found a few boxes of factory loads at $20.00 a box plus shipping which I thought was pretty reasonable.  Also have a friend who thinks he might have some brass as he once had such a animal in a Contender barrel.  I appreciate all the help though.  Yes I had my name into Midway to let me know but unless you are right on top of it you are out of luck.  As long as I have a few boxes which I can plink away with, I can always reload them untill some more comes along.  So I got what I need for now.  I also found a bunch of 6.8 SPC, brand new brass at a local gun shop so I bought all that he had along with a few boxes of loaded ones as well, so I think I have been pretty lucky.  Can't wait to get some decent weather so I can get out and shoot some of these new barrel's I have picked up.  "Come on Spring." I think collecting barrels for the TC is a disease without a cure.   ;D LOL

Remington just made a run of it a while back.  Maybe 6 months or less.  It will probably be a few years until they make another run from my observation.  This is what you are looking for.

Unfortunately mine is all loaded and in use.  I have 4 hungry Maxes to keep fed.
