Daniel,
What is the case length of the 22 TCM?  I want to compare with the 5.7x28 FN.  If they are the same length, then you can use the .218 Bee neck sizer so you don't have to modify your 223 die.  I use the 218 Bee neck sizer for my 5.7x28fn and it works great!

The 22 TCM case is exactly one inch in length.

Both lee and Hornady have put out a limited amount of these dies now.  If anyone wants a set they would have to contact Hornady and get on a waiting list.  The guy's name is Ben Syring at    800 338-3220 ext 261.

Well I shot the 21 inch 22 TCM Contender barrel today and she is a tack driver.  I am very happy with it. ;D   Can't wait to get my 15 inch Encore barrel as well.

Well this little baby is a tack driver for sure. I enjoy shooting it and I have ended up ordering one from MGM for the Encore.  I sent them my reamer.  It will be interesting to shoot the bullberry and the MGM to see which does the best job.

Daniel2013,

New to this forum but have really enjoyed it.  Never heard of the 22tc until your post and have thoroughly enjoyed your quest pursuing this interesting cartridge.  I did see that you have a 357 maximum and had a problem getting brass.  I recently had a H&R chambered in the 357 max. and I can't get any brass from anywhere and I'm dying to shoot it.  Do you know anyone that has any to spare.  I'm not greedy.  I'll take any amt. no matter how small.  I have dies, powder and bullets but no.
Thanks..............Happyhunter201

I was fortunate that I found some brand new377 Max local.  Got to the Encore or Contender buy and sell forums and post out there about needing some 357 Max. brass.  Their are a few guys that might have some extra that would be willing to let go of it.  I actually have three 22 TCM barrels now.  One Contender 21 inch and a Bullberry 15 inch and a MGM 15 inch, the last two being in the Encore.  I don't have the MGM barrel yet but it is coming.  I have to say they are great people to deal with and bend over back word's for you.  I actually have six different barrels being built by MGM right now.

Whoops the above post was supposed to say 357 Max not 377.  Any way back on subject.  This little cartridge (22 TCM) is a pleasure to shoot and unlike a lot of other cartridges the ammo. is available.  I bought another 10 boxes of it today.

Yes I will keep you posted.  Went out to shoot today and was well satisfied with the way it shot.  Shot some factory ammo. first and then shot some reloads and they also worked great.  Couldn't stay out as long as I wanted as I started getting shakey from a sugar drop as I am diabetic.  Next time I take it out I am going to take my chronograph with me to see what I am getting out of my reloads also going to put some candy or glucose tablets in my glove box of my truck.  I am pleased enough that I am thinking of getting a rifle barrel for one of my Encore frames made.  I will say one thing the Lee bullet seating die sucks big time.  I ended up using the seating die from my 221 fireball RCBS die.  Will be glad when Hornady sends me the dies I ordered from them.  They said it would be about 3 months and it has now been 2 months.  So with a little luck I will only have about a month to go.  I was loading a 40 gr ballistic tip with 9.5 grains of W296.  I know I can increase that a little but I want to see what that does for me with the chronograph first.

Went out shooting again today and took the 22 TCM along again.  Didn't take the chronograph along with me but I took 3 pictures of a five shot group with the 15 inch MGM barrel shot at 25 yards using a rest on a card table.  Card table isn't as steady as I would like but it didn't do bad.  The barrel is very accurate.    I am sharing the pictures of the 22 TCM all of the same group.

For comparison, I get 2300 fps from my 18" barrel in 5.7x28 FN using 55gr SP Speer and 9.2gr of H110, CCI 450 primers.  At 9.5 gr of H110 with the same 55gr SP bullet I get 2350 fps but the accuracy suffers and it is close to the max.
My load gives me a .75" to 1" at 100 yards.
CLARIFICATION:  The above load is NOT recommended for the 5.7x28 FN Pistol or other FN rifles.  It is ONLY good for MY Thompson Center Contender rifle.  Use your own judgment.

Took the Chronograph out today.  Shot a number of shots and averaged 2472.8 FPS out of a 15 inch barrel.  Now this is using the 40 gr. Nosler ballistic tip with 9.5 gr. of W296.  I know I could push the powder to 10.5 grains with out going over.  I also know the H110 will give me very close to the same results and I plan on loading up some with that powder soon.  Makes me wonder what I will get out of my MGM rifle barrel when I get it.  I am also going to have to take my 21 inch Contender barrel out with the Chronograph.

That does not sound too bad at all.  I am sure it is capable to a little higher velocities than that.  With my 5.7x28FN TC rifle, I am happy if it gets around 2000 fps.  I had tested some loads that brings it to about 2800 fps but I prefer to pull out my 223 Rem if I want it faster.  The "reloadable" 22 magnum mark is great for me (although I always experiment anyway just to see.)
I can't wait to have a 22 TCM rifle barrel for my TC.

I have a 15" MGM barrel, the Lee dies were the real only issue I had getting started Lee took care of it, brass is not impossible to find, I did find annealing a challenge at first but with my induction annealer and jig it is easy enough, Load data is sparse, Loading is not bad, Same ballistics as a 22 Hornet with out the fragileness of hornet brass, Being that it is a 15" barrel and rather awkward to carry and hunt with I am thinking of either having a barrel extension to make it a legal rifle barrel or cutting it to a more comfortable pistol length weight. It shoots every bit as accurately as any other 22 barrel I have, And it just looks cute too. LOL
