we used to fish platforms in the gulf
quite a bit. i usually wore deck shoes
with rubber soles and no heels.
yes-the fishing at the right platform was
excellent.

Did you catch any sole?
James Brown was the Godfather of Soul.
Wonder if it had anything to do with his platform shoes?

no sole.
redfish-kingfish-sheepshead
ling- etc.

one has to be careful if fishing
an occupied rig- the workers
sometimes pour a yellow liquid
off of the deck trying to hit the
boat, or sometimes they pour a
bucket of brown trout. they think
that it is really funny.
i think they have no soul or a
godfather either one.

I wish I were good at saltwater bottom fishing. I've tried it, not much success, just kind of flounder around at it.

i have wade fished a good bit
around port o'conner and matagorda
but i never bottom fished. too many
stingrays and jellyfish. if they
get around my bottom, i'll not
be able to sit in the truck seat
to drive home.  :(

Tried ice fishing, no luck either, til a guy on a snowmobile came by; told me to hop on back and troll for a while.

I structure fish. I'm good at it , really great in fact. An expert of sorts . I could hang the only obstacle in a 10 acre lake on my first cast even if it was 20 ft down in muddy water.

Muddy Waters was the "Father of Modern Blues".   He started a music revolution.   But his real name was McKinley Morganfield.

News Flash - Just In !!!    Justin Morgan has developed a new breed of horse.   It's small but very strong mount - enough to pull a wagon full of barrels.  The year is 1792.   And William McKinley isnt even born yet.

like to see the pan to hold
that one.
if you deep fried it, you'd need
your own gas well. that would
be funny, a big 18 wheeler tanker
full of peanut oil backing into
your driveway, "BEEP_BEEP_BEEP"
yer neighbors see a big crane
maneuvering in place to hoist
the basket with the turduckhendoecowlephantwhale
into the 25,000 gallon pot
of oil. all of your friends standing
by with chainsaws to help carve.

that would be a for sure tim-the-tool-man
moment! !  ugh-ugh-ugh-ugh! ! ! ! more power! ! !

i was thinking of renting a ready-mix
truck to bring full of mashed taters,
but then it may be a problem with
the gravy truck trying to find parking.
what would be the correct placard
for over-the-road hauling of gravy?
