Today I bought an idler pulley for my mower. I asked the lady if it was guaranteed. Yep she said, I guarantee you its better than the one you have.  :o

Those that sit around idle usually get a spare tire around their middle.

Love muffins, hate this thread!  Everytime I want to post something the subject has changed so much if I posted what I was thinking I'd be accused of being on topic!   >:(  Missed a lot of great one liners!   :'(

every thread i've messed with goes somewhere.
some i have goes round and round and round and
round and round and round and round and round
and round and round and round and round and round
and round and round and round and round on a spool.
some i have goes in and out and in and out and in
and out and in and out and in and out and in and
out and in and out and in and out and in and out
and in and out and in and out and in and out of
a piece of clothing. some threads are scrap and
go in the trashcan. threads are very expensive this
day and age compared to what they used to cost.
when my mother was young, they used to get threads
from undoing the seams on feed and flour sacks and
would use the threads and cloth for making dresses
and drawers for the family. what threads they didn't
re-use, they would trade eggs and butter to the peddler
that came by for new spools of threads and other
ready-made goods. you might even say their existence
was hanging by a thread.

Here's where we are going with this thread.....

I am not a big Howard Dean fan but that is a great clip.  Speaking of clips I am amazed how much that term is used to describe a magazine

Speaking of magazines... there is a good article on Ruger's Light Weight Single Six in the May issue of American Rifleman.

Chuck Connors was THE Rifleman. His rifle had a tubular magazine, or tubular clip, if you prefer.

i'm surprised they haven't confiscated all
the copies of those episodes and burned them
for having a show with a young boy and a
single father and a loaded winchester rifle in
easy reach with no trigger lock or gun safe.
kinda like the old non-p.c. speedy gonzalez cartoons.
i've not seen those since i was real young, and i
doubt if they still exist.

How come "abbreviated" is such a long word?   :-\

I always thought it was a shame the way Hollywood typecast Speedy Gonzalez. I felt he had a lot of breadth as an actor but was never really given the opportunity to develop his craft.
