Ruger SRH - Heard Anything about Supply?
« on: March 07, 2013, 07:06:40 PM »
Hi All,
Anyone heard anything about when Ruger might catch up an start shipping Super Redhawks again?

Was hoping to acquire one in .454 with the 7.5 in barrel.

Tripped over one a few months back, standard stainless finish... didn't realize target grey had been discontinued... by the time I called back to hold it... was sold.

So now wondering if it'll be 2014-ish before I can acquire a NIB one.

Interesting. Are they all new in box?

I've seen one locally in the last 3 months, and it sold before I went back for it.

Don't know...I didn't read each listing... Point being, stuff is available if you are willing to search for it.  If I waited for something I really wanted to show up in my local gun shop, especially a rather limited production item like the Super Redhawk, I would have a lot fewer guns in my safe.

To be honest, I had be searching the more well know internet distributors. The preference for NIB for this particular gun may be  a little limiting. I'll have to take a look. Initially I was limiting it to the Target Grey finish in 454 with 7.5 barrel... until I found out those were discontinued. Apparently Ruger left those on their webpage way after they stopped making them.
