Not BHO that's for sure.  And not the current GOP either.

As to your heading question:

It reminds me of Ike.  I lived through his administration as a youngster.  Ike at least was an honorable man--unlike the lying, whimpering, menace that now plagues our once great country.

LOOK AT THE CURRENT PLATFORMS

DEMOCRATS WANT TO DISARM  US

REPUBLICANS  AT LEAST SAY THEY DON'T WANT TO DISARM US

when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs
DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO STOP A DEMOCRAT
OBAMACARE....the biggest tax hike in the  history of mankind
free choice and equality  can't co-exist
AFTER THE LIBYAN COVER-UP... remind any  democrat voters ''they sat and  watched them die''...they  told help to ''stand down''

     I am closer to an Independent but for sure I am not a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT as all they want to do is destroy  the constitution and take from those who have worked for it and give it to those who have no desire to improve they standing in life.  Jim

LOL! Depends on the definition! I'm a registered Republican, but haven't voted for one in the General Presidential election since the Liberal GW Bush. In Oregon, one can only vote in the primary if a member of that party. I voted for the only true Constitutionalist in the Republican Presidential primary in 2008 and 2012. He didn't win ;) I still vote for a majority of Republicans at state and local elections. Along with some Libertarian or Constitution party candidates. I would even vote for a Democrat if they believed in the Constitution and voted as such. (Hard to find one of those since John Kennedy)

I guess I'm a Republican, that won't vote for a Liberal, regardless of the party.

I'm a registered Republican, but that doesn't mean I vote Republican party all the time. I have voted for independents and members of the Constitution party, but never voted for a democrat. I always vote for who I think has the best character, is honest, and who I think is most apt to abide by the Constitution, and a democrat has never fallen under those guidelines. Anymore there aren't many republicans that do either.

I guess you didn't read the posts. Or you didn't like what you read. I read it and ifyoumean that the democrat platform sounds republican. Yea back then when the democrats did represent the " working man"  a lot of folk down here in God's country voted democrat, heck some still do saying " that was my daddy's party and it will be mine......right up until they see what the lefties are up to. You wouldn't believe how many dem candidates have jumped party affiliation since 08.

Not only that read jfk's stuff back then,  he wouldn't fit in very well now.

would be looked at today  as far  to right to even  be a republican

my  mom is a democrat because  her dad  was a democrat

i was a libertarian  because my dad[rebublican]   raised me to do the right thing

then became a republican when i  got a brain  and realized  they will never win
and libertatians  did much to help democrats...by splitting up true freedom voters

I'd never vote for a Democrat.  I vote straight Republican but I'm not sure I'm a Republican.  A Christian cannot vote for a Democrat.

Chung you are gonna have to be specific , didn't sound that way to me but I don't have the expertise in talking points that you might have. Copy and paste what YOU think sounds like democrats. Might be interesting and enlightening.  ;)

Some favorites:

"We are proud of and shall continue our far-reaching and sound advances in matters of basic human needs—expansion of social security—broadened coverage in unemployment insurance —improved housing—and better health protection for all our people. We are determined that our government remain warmly responsive to the urgent social and economic problems of our people.

We hold that the strict division of powers and the primary responsibility of State and local governments must be maintained, and that the centralization of powers in the national Government leads to expansion of the mastery of our lives...

America does not prosper unless all Americans prosper.

Government must have a heart as well as a head.

We also propose:

Additional technical research in problems of development and distribution for the benefit of small business;

Legislation to enable closer Federal scrutiny of mergers which have a significant or potential monopolistic connotations;

Procedural changes in the antitrust laws to facilitate their enforcement;

Simplification of wage reporting by employers for purposes of social security records and income tax withholding;

Continuance of the vigorous SEC policies which are providing maximum protection to the investor and maximum opportunity for the financing of small business without costly red tape.

Furthermore, the process of free collective bargaining has been strengthened by the insistence of this Administration that labor and management settle their differences at the bargaining table without the intervention of the Government. This policy has brought to our country an unprecedented period of labor-management peace and understanding.

We shall continue vigorously to support the United Nations. "

There are quite a few more points that the Republican Party has abandoned in recent years. These are just a few.
If you give up, THEY don't have to win.

I am not a republican, but don't like that much,

I have voted for republicans in the past, and may again, can't see any chance of voting for a democrat in this life. Unless they were strict constitutionalist, bordering on libertarian

Other than not liking the United Nations, my personal opinion , looks good to me.

 I don't see your point, the part about all Americans prospering is and was the goal. They just think there is a better way than  redistribution of wealth I hope, don't really know what they stand for today.

Now all that being said, the republicans of today wouldn't make a good pimple on the behind of  men like Ike and Ronnie. Or JFK for that matter. But of course neither would barry, Harry Reid or any of their accomplices.
