I am with Mikey!! I like the 1911 have 5 but I dont carry them as often as I should I will lately been seen in public escorting my sig sauer 239 in .40 cal but it is just as I feel I need to show them all a Little attention or they will leave me. Jim

SharonAnne: yes, that was the question. We have Colt, S&W, Ruger, Springfield, Remington, Rock Island Arsenal, Sig, Kimber, STI, a whole bunch of custom shops and gunsmiths, but who else am I missing???

Now that might not be so far fetched... Plastic frame, double stack, or compact model with a single stack, tenifer finish, simplified take down lever like used on the Star Model B 1911, "Safe Action" trigger along with a grip safety instead of the traditional thumb safety. Maybe a decocker lever....Hmmmmm

It would be something, probably ugly but it would not be a 1911.
Sig goes far on some of their target P220s as to imitate features on the 1911 as did S&W with the 945, but still a true 1911 from Glock would be fascinating at least.

Don't know about that oldshooter - I picked one up, a PT1911 in 38 Super that is the most accurate out of the box factory 38 Super I have ever owned, and it cycles everything I can throw down the tube, including semi-wadcutters. I think I'll keep it.

Hello Oldshooter: Yeah; I know, but I do come by and see what's going on.
When I read SharonAnne's post that she had disabilities too, my heart dropped. I know the scripture say "Man's days are short, and full of trouble", but I don't have to like it. So, I'm praying for God to have mercy on us all. Wish I had some extra buulletts, I'd go out and shoot ma .45 awhile.
